Last surfing update I claimed it was the best Newport in a long long time, well I think I'm gonna have to say this day was better. The waves weren't always as big as the other day but the level of performance was higher than any other day. Barrels this day were probably harder to find when you factored in the fact that Los Al or some high school decided to practice at 54th. There was a very thick group of longboarders and boogie boarders going straight and dodging barrels left and right. There has been more swell in October than in the entire summer. Every shot on here is from a different wave.
PS: stay away from 54, it never gets this good. in fact it has been flat since and the locals are crazy.

Before re-hurting his knee, Timmy Reyes busted out with three of the best barrel to carve combos of the morning.

Shawn Ward from Huntington....................
Power of the flag? Was it because of Randal Taylor's flag board that just about every barreling right was his? I would put more pics of Randal up but every wave looks the same. A sick barrel with Randal calming sitting inside ready to slide out at the last second.
With stand up barrels like the one on the right Matt Archbold thought he was back at Off the Wall
Archy's layback and another front sider rider

In between getting barreled right and left Josh Hoyer did a few indy grabs
The crowd caused Hoyer to snap and flip out.
He doesn't even get to claim his own airs anymore cause other people do it for him
Joe Alani pulled his first real legitimate air this day. But not before pulling in like he was in da islands....ho
Geoff Moysa left for Chile Thurs morning. But Moysa what about the board meeting????
Wether its Sega Saturn or real life, Dave Post knows how to get barreled and do uhhh, airs....
