Cabo Craziness

| One week before I was going on my trip to the Mentawaiis in Indonesia, good-ole Shaun Nielson from Surfing called me up and invited me to go to Cabo with a bunch of nssa wonder kids. I'd be going for a week and coming home for a night and then go straight to Indo....how could I say no? Hours later and I was lugging bags through the heat of the Cabo airport. On the trip with me were the Hawaiians, Kekoa Balasco and Dustin Quizon, the east coasters, Eric Taylor and Alek Parker and California kids Nathaniel Curran, Brett Simpson and Travis Mellem. All supposedly the cream of the nssa crop. Our house was sick, enough room for everyone, a huge patio and a little pool that allowed you to swim under the house and go back in-forth between outside and inside. The house was on a hill over looking the Cabo coast and directly above the beach break Zippers. The kids were on a strict schedule of getting up while it was still dark outside and loading the cars and heading out. Wed drive an hour to the east side surf and then drive an hour back to the house, eat some bread and then drive an hour west to surf. One of the places was suppose to be the warm side but both were pretty much colder than home. Late nights at Squid Row and strip clubs were discouraged as they children would be tired in the morning and it would show in their surfing and that would show in the photos. This was a photo trip of the likes I had never been on before. The kids killed it though; I was very impressed with Brett and Dustin. Brett surfs insane, super fast and always throwing the tail. He looks like he belongs with the Aussie contingency not some kid who surfs North-Side H.B. pier all day. Dustin is a machine; I cant see how hed ever lose a heat. The kid makes every single section that the waves could throw at him and keeps his speed throughout. Everyone got along on the trip, heck even two of the invitees shared this nice lil Canadian girl who was staying across the street. Haha, oh the things that went on while the others slept. Anyway, I got yelled at a bit, but I still say it was all just a misunderstanding since I didnt even know what was going on. But thanks to Surfing Magazine, Shaun and Evan fer letting me tag along on yer trip. I had a blast and hope you liked the footy .even though it took you guys six months to dup it!_! |

| This is the view from the patio. The house was sick, hammocks n indoor/outdoor pools n shit were the norm. Hell I could even see Zippers from the patio! | |||||||||||||||||
| I'm laying on the bottom and it still surfaces. | "Hell boy, I lost it in the war." | ||||||||||||||||
| Pescadero's. This place was head-high and pooptacular. | |||||||||||||||||
Travis Mellem knows good hydration is key for frontside snaps of all kinds.
| Bet all you ladies didn't know Travis was so hot hot hot! How can you not love a man who boosts onto rocks and yanks it frontside!¿ | |||||||||||||||||
Three steps to rail popping mind boggelation by the Mellem man.
| Lover's beach will kick yer ass. Just look what happened to Travis. | Nathaniel find the Flindt. | ||||||||||||||||
| He tried to bite me, so i ate his eyes. |
Alek trying to find his way outta the shore break.
| Nathaniel Curran spraying Flindt. |
Nathaniel liening in and showing Flindt his underside....again.
Eric Taylor holds on to his unmentionables during this lil snapper roo!__^!!
On the other hand, Kekoa Balasco prefers to let his unspeakables get a good flapping in the wind as he hangs on.
| COULD YOU PICK 2 WORSE COLOURS!@?¿ | |||||||||||||||||
Dustin blasting at Shipwrecks.

Hello, and welcome to the Brett Simpson Show. Thats what it shoulda said on my plane ticket to {[ugh}] CABO!
| The blurry man himself. |
Flyin and kickin are some of Brett's favorites.
| Lil mini barrel. | Ahh, i might slash. | Another double-yank. | |||||||||||||||
| Beginning of a carve. | Aiming the tail fer the camera. | Backside floatation. | |||||||||||||||
Mind boggling as it is, Brett pulled both these airs.
This turn however ended terribly. | ||||||||||||||||
| Just like they did when everyone else was asleep, Travis gives Dustin a lil rub . | I guess someone did a turn, but I missed it. | Handstands in g-strings are my favorite! | |||||||||||||||
Alex Parker only did a few airs on the whole trip, but when he boosted it was large.
| Alek Parker losing his fins. |
Another slash and boost by Alek.
Surfing Mag's Jeff Flindt and Willam Sharp(eye), but the chik belongs to me.

Kekoa Balasco busted a few times frontside then cautiously put on some rubber and whacked it backside.
| More Kekoa. | Alex with some tail out the bck. | Travis carving. | |||||||||||||||
