When I heard Volcom had given out 2000 invites for the premiere of their new movie, 156 Tricks, I thought this was going to be some huge production. Then I heard Kona Lanes, the site choosen only held 800 people. "We better get there early" was the thought running through everyone's head. Upon our arrival it was nice to see that Volcom had spent some quality time preparing Kona Lanes. With posters, banners and stickers everywhere the place looked good to go. Most people would end up sending lots of their time in the "vip" room where the free girls and beatiful beers were.
Everyone from Ozzie Wright to John Morris was there. 400 Blows performed and everyone jumped around. I think I got a little carried away with taking pictures and ended up taking around 390. To tell the truth I didn't even get to see the movie but everyone said it was good. I walked by and it had already started and I watched Ozzie do a chop-hop on a three foot wave, so I kept walking.
Poor Volcom, someone stole their fog machines and disco balls which they had put a huge deposit down on. If anyone knows who dun-it, rat em out for the good of the bowling state. |
